I hear a voice within me say this, firmly, with conviction. And, I give in. My temper flares through my veins as violently as a volcano and my senses disappear. The impulse takes over and I recognize the world only after I pour out my emotions. I hurt people. And, in doing so I hurt myself. No matter how much I justify what I do, deep down, I know what this fiery temper can do and what it can’t undo. So, I am trying to rein it in, not by restricting it but by finding ways to mould it into a force of good. This ‘flaw’, this temper, led the way for me to understand myself. And, I love myself enough to work on it, even when I fail most times, This is my story. What is yours?
This is a multi-coloured handloom made-in-heaven mul cotton saree with zari in the border. And, it embraces all of you in its fluid, soft drape.
Handloom cotton is a type of fabric that is woven using hand operated looms. Two sets of interlacing yarns, the warp (length) and weft (width), are woven on a mechanised loom operated by weavers. These looms do not use electricity. Human handling lends the fabrics a unique feel and renders the fabrics more value. The resultant fabric is softer, more durable and much more comfortable than machine-made fabrics. Handloom cotton is more breathable and thus feels lighter in summers and provides more insulation in winters. The dyeing process also becomes easier for handloom cotton as the colour penetration is substantially more. Hues are absorbed better thus look resplendent on handloom cotton.
