The storms rummage through my heart, the calm finds root next to it. The rains pour down over the horizon of my lower eyelid. The wild forests grow over my head with flowers of creativity blossoming at their own pace. I place my feet in the ocean and the waters find their waves of emotions in me. Between my concrete walls, I look for a piece of nature and find it. Me.
This is a handloom silk saree in light green and orange dhoop chaon colour. It’s soft, silky, beautiful texture and the stunning colour steal the show!
This saree is made of a gorgeous hand-woven silk fabric. Silk is a natural animal-based fiber that has centuries of history. It has always been considered the most regal of fabrics and remains the most festive, alluring fabric in the modern wardrobe as well. The fine weave of this fabric from the weaving communities of West Bengal makes it very malleable, soft, light-weight and a dream to drape. Over 40 artisans and weavers have worked to craft this collection of handloom sarees and the weavers create magic on their looms, as they take 20 days and sometimes 25 days to weave one single saree, and pour their love into the fabric for it to take life in our wardrobe. And, when the fabric takes shape, the characteristic shine of the silk and the comfort of its texture inevitably become a combination that can win hearts over.
